Custom and specialty rodeo chaps from Beastmaster Rodeo. Look, ride, and feel your best, an American cowboy tradition since the 1800’s. Rodeo chaps are used to help a rider stay on, protect their legs and clothing, or to add flair and style in competition settings. At Beastmaster Rodeo we use only the highest quality leather, flawless sewing, and master floral and design tooling when making all of our rodeo chaps. We offer an extensive line in various sizes, weights, and colors, as well as custom designs and patterns. Consulting with championship riders and years of our own riding experience has lead to numerous improvements and design enhancements. The quality of our rodeo chaps is simply unmatched.
Each set of chaps made at Beastmaster Rodeo features only the highest quality, premium bull hide leather and include our signature stainless steel buckles. Depending on the design, the yoke of the chaps is made from either premium grade skirting leather or chap leather. For abrasion resistance and increased durability we also specially laminate all metallic leather and fringes.
Which rodeo chap weight is right for me? Generally, it is whatever the rider’s preference is and what they feel most comfortable in. Chaps for bull riding can be light or heavy depending what feels best. However, saddle bronc chaps are typically a heavier weight in order to protect the rider’s legs in the swells and chutes. Bareback chaps tend to be lighter weight so they will not hinder a rider’s reflex spurring motion. For added leg protection we recommend heavier leather weights, but for increased movement and flexibility lighter leather weight would be best.
