The "Foothills" (Medium-lift)
The new Foothills(medium-lift) rig has become very popular since I first designed it about a year ago. This rig was designed for the guy who is taller in stature and doesn’t like the jerking of the Plains(standard) body rig, but has problems with the Rockies. It sets nicely above the horses withers relieving pressure on the riding arm but doesn’t tip you over so your ear is dragging the ground.
